Peter G. Mirijanian

Senior Advisor, Communications

Peter Mirijanian is a senior advisor at Grayson & Co., where he advises clients on crisis and litigation communications. Since founding Peter Mirijanian Public Affairs (PMPA) in 2000, he has provided public affairs expertise to dozens of corporations, trade associations, and individuals.

Before starting PMPA, Peter was a founding principal and vice president of the DCS Group, where he directed and implemented crisis and litigation communications efforts, with a primary focus on national media, on behalf of corporations and law firms. He worked on a variety of high-profile issues, including class action suits, proposed corporate mergers, international trade disputes, casino gaming, and public health.

Utilizing decades-long relationships with the national press corps, he initiated and managed media coverage and editorials that have appeared in the Washington Post, New York Times, Wall Street Journal, along with broadcast networks. He has also devised and executed media tours, editorial board meetings, and talk radio campaigns for clients in markets across the country.

Peter also managed media inquiries and served as spokesperson for Jack Quinn during his representation of Marc Rich in his pardon appeal to former President Bill Clinton.

He is a crisis communications commentator in national publications, and for NBC’s Today Show, Fox News, MSNBC, and CNBC.

Previously, he worked in corporate advocacy as a senior counselor at Powell Tate, and led non-profit media campaigns while at Fenton Communications. He served on the national advance staffs of the Dukakis-Bentsen 1988 campaign, Clinton-Gore 1992 and 1996 campaigns, and the Gore-Lieberman 2000 campaign.

Peter has served as a spokesperson for the Women’s College Coalition and was a political advisor to Anna Deveare Smith’s production of “House Arrest” at Washington’s Arena Stage. He also worked as a political media consultant, was Northeast regional coordinator for People for the American Way, and was a press aide for Sen. Edward M. Kennedy.

He earned his undergraduate degree, magna cum laude, from Drew University and his MPP from Georgetown University.
